I just saw a triangular shaped aircraft hovering above 10th freeway near desert hot springs or Cabazon, California. The time was around 10:30pm. Not sure what it is. The lights on the aircraft didn't blink like every other aircraft. The lights changed very slowly and it didn't seem to make any noise. It seemed like it was floating in one spot for a few minutes. We drove under this thing, and I can see a triangle shape.

Things to consider before getting an electus parrot
Are you thinking about adopting a pet bird such as an electus parrot, especially a female electus parrot? As a person who has three electus parrots in my family, I have something to say before you make your decision.
Four types of person that are better for having female electus parrots:
1. Married and have kids
Here I particularly mean you are living with all the person you want to live with.
Why is that? Electus parrots are extremely smart animals with complex and deep emotions. They will deeply bond with you and become very loyal to you soon after you get them. The female ones can be surprisingly aggressive to anybody besides you. So anybody you bring home are considered a big threat in their eyes. Electus parrots are relatively big birds with very strong and powerful beaks. If you don't want your female bird to chase and bite your loved ones like crazy, I suggest you have all your loved ones living with you already before you get a female electus parrot. So the bird can accept everybody in your family more easily.
2. Willing to spend time to train them
Like dogs and cats, electus parrots can destroy a lot of things in your house if you let them do whatever they want. They like to chew on things. From books to bookshelves, plastic bags to blinds, from black wires to colorful rubber handles. They chew on everything that is interesting to them and they are curious about almost everything. So spending time to teach them about proper behavior really saves your life. Plus, they are able to learn a lot of impressive tricks by proper training. But one more thing, do not over train them. They are as intelligent as human child and have all the emotions we have. They are easily stressed out by overly strict owners.

3. Me or my families are able to live with them for over 50 years
Electus parrots can live over 50 years. As we know, they are very loyal and deeply bond to the owner so it is more ideal if you and your family are prepared to take care of them for their entire life.
4. Providing fresh fruits and veggies to them everyday
Almost every pet stores have seeds and grains mixture food for electus parrots. But it is not the best food for them. Seeds and nuts are considered too oily for their digestion systems. Electus parrots that eat only seeds and grains are more likely to develop kidney or liver problems. Fresh fruits like kiwi, mango, apple, peach, etc and fresh veggies are the best food for them.
If you are an electus parrot breeder, please consider these as well when choosing a new owner for your parrots. If we are more responsible, the animals will be happier.
P.S. The reason why I talk about female electus parrots is that they seem to have stronger personalities and attitude. Male electus parrots are mostly more tame than female ones. Most of the male electus parrot owners do not have as many troubles as those who have female ones. I hope my writing does not scare you about getting an electus parrot. They can be very very sweet pets with proper training.

Practicing Eastern Medicine - Embrace the modern. Respect the ancient.
Practicing Eastern Medicine
-------- Embrace the modern. Respect the ancient.
Eastern medicine is an ancient medical therapy that is as important as western medicine.
Many changes have been introduced into traditional eastern medicine throughout the millennia.
Good changes added more glory to the traditions; meanwhile bad changes shifted the right to the wrong.
The thorough research and work people have diligently done on treating the problems that we have higher chance of suffering from nowadays, such as cancer, hypertension, diabetes, etc, has elevated eastern medicine to a new level.
The advanced technology of processing herbal medicines shortened the time of production and made high quality medicine accessible for everyone.
However, regarding the way of practicing acupuncture for the doctors, it is not always good to adopt all the newer changes.
Acupuncture was greatly developed in ancient China . Since it has been practiced for thousands of years, different acupuncture styles have been formed.
Some practitioners have learned to use shortcuts when treating patients. It might not bring noticeable side effects on patients but it could leave the illness still inside patients’ body when symptoms are gone, or it heals illness not as fast as following the traditional way.
We can find the traditional way of practicing acupuncture in the greatest ancient medical book “Huang Di Nei Jing (黄帝内经)” attributed to the earliest emperor in China, Yellow Emperor (黄帝).
For example, the book emphasizes pulse diagnosis. Pulse tells everything. By checking the pulse, doctors should know which organs have problems. After the treatment, doctors must check the pulse again. If the strength of the pulse changed to even, then the illness had been removed. If the strength of the pulse did not change but the patient stated feeling better, the illness might still be there (Ling Shu, chapter 9).
Unfortunately, not enough doctors realize the importance of this book. They might find it too long to read and the words are too ancient to understand. But, the “Nei Jing” way of practicing acupuncture will always be respected and embraced by people who truly understand eastern medicine.
